Hello Chris & Community!

For the last few days I'm trying to get a WinTV PCI FM to work under Windows XP x64 Edition by modifying the cx2388x x64 beta-drivers released by Conexant (rewriting the inf to work with the Hauppauge card is much trickier than I though in the first place).

Since WinTV failed to work I gave ChrisTV (Lite - sufficient for testing) a try and it turned out to work just fine.

As soon as I get the TV-card to function properly (I already have a picture, but audio and channel tuning is still a "nogo" since I seem to have something screwed up where the pin-connections get mapped) I'll try it with my registered Pro Version; but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work aswell.

Therefore I recommend using ChrisTV if you are looking for a TV-App that works with XP x64 Edition.

Hi,

Would you be kind enough to share the driver with us? :)

I have a Hauppauge PVR500 (same driver as 150). What card were you trying?

Thanks.

I have a AMD 64 system with NIVIDA 1100 vid card and Leadtec winfasttv 2000xp expert with Win xp 64. Using TW1965's card driver. I have tried ChrisTV and it does work but:

1. Have sound but no sound control --not a big problem

2. Variable CPU use even with smallest screen. After multiple restarts of computer and ChrisTV cpu speed goes from 60%+ to as low as 24%. When CPU use high the images are jittery but after several restarts of ChrisTV and changes in Overlay mix, Video Mixing Render and Advanced Rendering Mode in no particular order or settings the picture will settle down but if anything else used the CPU and CPU use goes up the picture will jitter until the opening usage drops unless the CPU speed is alread at the low setting.

3. Multiple channel changes on circle wheel will lock up the system requiring a hard restart.

4. Cann't seem to use the email bug report because OUTLOOK will not send to ChrisTV

5. Would love to know how to fix these problems.

I have Windows x64 and Leadtek TV2000 XP Expert installed with their Beta 64bit drivers. K!TV and Intervideo WinDVR 3 both play TV and composite ok

I'm trying Chris lite but am having problems at install. During the initial channel scan, only the blue screen shows. After a long time, I ended with task manager. which showed it running. Relaunch indicated only channel 1. Right click channel setup went through all channels, added to list, but froze trying to close. Task manager close & relaunch & channel select shows a frozen picture and then a freeze on any of the right click functions.

I had installed it earlier and had the same problem of freezes. One right click function would work, but the second would freeze. I uninstalled and reinstalled with all programs shut down including virus checkers, but am getting the same problem.

Regards, Ron

Dear Ron,

It don't know how to fix your probem because I don't seem to have it but K!TV does not work for me. I downloaded the beta 64 bit and it says a buffer overrun and will not load.

You may want to make sure ChrisTV is USA and NTSC before it starts the channel search. Are you using tw1965's driver set?

Yours Craig
