installer does nothing

Ran VideoTube downloader Pro, told me there's an update, browser appeared to download setup_chrispc_videotube_downloader_pro_14_23_1101.exe to an AV excluded folder without issue.

Came to run it, nothing happened.

Turned off my AV, tried again. Still nothing.

Cleared browser cache and re-downloaded (same 39,594,640 bytes as last time), ran it again - nothing.

Rebooted (fast boot disabled) still won't run.

Am I the only one, or is there something amiss with the latest setup exe?

Apologies - I'd disabled my AV but forgotten about MalwareBytes.

Quitting Malwarebytes allowed it to run.

Weird that MWB didn't show an alert, but there we are - if anyone else has the same issue, Use the 'Quit' option in the tray'd Malwarebytes and the installer will run.

I too have Malwarebytes and I see same behavior. You can either exclude the update file every time you download a new version or exclude the folder you place the update files into. I chose to do file because I like a bit more control. Sad. But, I like Malwarebytes; and it has found PUP behaviors in the update check process in YouTube Download Pro.
