14_21_1120 refuses to properly register

Hello

I just updated using setup_chrispc_videotube_downloader_pro_14_21_1120.exe. I have a lifetime license. After performing the upgrade I attempt to launch the software and am greeted with a dialog asking me to register. My existing license key displays in the dialog. I click register. I am then prompted to close the software and relaunch. At which point I am greeted with the same dialog asking me to register. The software is unusable at the moment. Hoping you can suggest how this might be repaired.
