New CBC Watch Site, problem downloading

CBC in Canada has a new video on demand service that no longer uses unprotected MP4 files. Instead it uses M3U8 video quality. I installed the newest version of VideoTube Download Pro 9.2.26 (Registered). I attempted to download a video from this site: http://watch.cbc.ca/x-company/season-3/ ... 0bbce5021c. The download would not work in standard mode but I used the link finder to obtain the actual video address. Many streams were located but I tried download the first M3U8 video quality link,

The download appeared to be successful. I then attempted to play the video. The result was a perfect video picture and absolutely no sound at all. I did find some AAC links later on in the list but everyone one was 0.23 MB which was about 10 seconds of audio, completely unlinked to the video.

Is there anyway VideoTube Download Pro can download both video and audio in sync and together in one file like MP4s do. This version of Pro is a giant leap forward since version 8.7 refused to even download the video portion. Now if I can get a full stream including audio, I'd be very happy.

Thanks, Drew Finnie

You should check on the same m3u8 for a simple stream (not Video stream) that should be the audio.
After you have both files, you need to mux them together with a software like http:/ /www.videohelp.com/software/MP4Muxer

The stream I attempted to download did not contain any audio information. But there was audio when you played the clip in a browser. There were 23 audio files, each 10 seconds each, which only appeared while playing the file from the Internet which kind of defeats the purpose of having a single download. I stopped the process after 5 minutes since I would have to play the entire production to obtain roughly 80 or so 10 second files.

There are more m3u8 files, some are for video, other for audio.

We've release version 9.3.10 which has improved support for CBC.ca video detection in Link Finder:

Thank you Chris. The newer version clearly identifies which stream is video and which is audio. I've been able to download a complete presentation from the new CBC site by downloading the two streams and muxing them using the software's mux feature. Thanks.
