BBC Iplayer not working

Postby ferret » 11 May 2017, 00:29

Im in the UK. Tried to download BBC programmes which I have in the past on my PC with no problem. Now however, it tries to start before saying "download failed".

it seems like the Beeb have put some blocker on as you now have to download an app from their site which allows you to download the programme only for watching but you cant save it as it will automatically delete after a 30 day period... not good if you want to watch it at a later date.

so it seems that BBC iplayer wont work on here like it used to...

Recently while trying to download programmes from BBC Iplayer, ChrisPC Downloader is only offering a limited choice of either 2800 kb/s or 1500 kb/s both of which don't work for users without the add-on pack. Previously I used 480. Some older programmes are still available with a wider choice. Has something changed in the Downloader setup, or the browser I'm using, or is this a BBC anti-download trick.
