No Recording / Weak Sound

I'm using :
- Hauppauge Wintv HVR-4000
- ChrisTV Pro 5.70
and have the following problems :

- While watching, the sound (Rendered through Audio Rendering Device, the only option I managed to work) is much weaker than with other applications, changing the volume doesn't make any difference

- When I start recording, the Preview window turns black and no sound, shows the recording time and a zero-byte file is created. That's it. No recording.

- When I stop recording, status says "Preview Mode" again, but the window remains black, no sound. I have to stop/start ChrisTV to see something again.
