How to switch sound off when recording

Postby Fokke Nauta » 18 Jun 2014, 09:06

Hi all,

Using ChrisTV Pro 5.80 on a W7-32b machine with a Haupauge PVR 350 TV card. I use it to record TV broadcasts. It works flawlessly.
The problem is that as soon as ChrisTV starts recording, the audio signal of the recorded TV broadcast is being sent to the sound card. This is a serious problem when I use this PC the same time for playing audio.
How can I prevent ChrisTV from sending the audio signal to the sound card when recording?
Tried various settings, all to no avail.
Thanks for your help.
With regards,
Fokke Nauta

If the recording is with preview, you can mute the sound, by pressing M key.

Please attach the ChrisTV.log file.

Thanks.

Right now it's recording a TV program.
Pressing "m" changes the speaker symbol indeed (with a cross), but the sound goes on.
Attached you will find the log file.

Well, I was too fast. It did not work.
What works is, that there is no sound after ChrisTV starts. But as soon as it starts recording a TV program, there is the sound again.
During recordings I want no sound to the sound card.

With regards,
Fokke

Thanks, Chris.
Yes, it does. Checked all the input settings of the sound card but didn't check this one. When muting the ChrisTV channel, everything is quiet.
