I wonder why ChrisTV standard defaults to splitting MPEG files into 4GB pieces?
What if I don't want pieces?
Is this a limitation of Standard to make me buy Pro?
The size doesn't even match the 4483 MB of a DVD... it also means I can't make seamless recordings of films, etc. When I stitch the MPEG files together I get a jump in picture and sound.

Only in Professional version you can adjust the File Split size for software MPEG recording.
The 4 GB limit file size is due to the filesystem of the recording drive - FAT32.
If your drive has NTFS filesystem there should be no limit in filesize.

Yes, you said that.Chris @ May 24 2007, 14:57 wrote:Only in Professional version you can adjust the File Split size for software MPEG recording.
But you also said that Chris-TV standard shouldn't split files on NTFS drives.
All my drives are NTFS, so why is it splitting them? What can I do about it?

I used MpackPro (http://www.ordix.com/mpack/) to put the splitted mpeg files togehter, and you can't recognize, they were merged.naylor83 @ May 17 2007, 19:06 wrote: I wonder why ChrisTV standard defaults to splitting MPEG files into 4GB pieces?
