On the weekend downloaded TV Browser, found the zap2it plugin, and everything worked... until I noticed that zap2it will end listings in 1 weeks time!

They will licence listing to Schedules Direct. To use SD, you must be running an app released under the GPL, which I assume TV Browser is, but I'm not sure whether loading data into Chris TV will void that licence from Schedules Direct.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Yes it sucks very big time that Zap2it Labs is stopping their free listings. I just bought ChrisTV PVR Professional about two weeks ago and got TV-Browser working, only to find out that it was all a waste of time, and it will be completely useless in just a few days.

This leaves all US customers of ChrisTV without any kind of EPG support, which totally stinks. I've found that http://www.titantv.com/index.aspx has free listings, and has little record buttons that send the data needed for programming ChrisTV. I have it working in a real awkward way using a programming language that's not really meant for tasks like this, and unfortunately the language I'm using doesn't have a free runtime engine, so I can't give my program away. It's a kludge anyway.

Hopefully someone with some Visual C++ or Visual Basic skills will write an interface that can parse the *free* data from http://www.titantv.com/index.aspx into a format that can be passed to ChrisTV.

Here's some info on TitanTV. I hope we will see ChrisTV in the list of supported PVRs soon.
