This is some of the best PVR software I have worked with!

Is it possible to timeshift back live TV
(streamed input) and then record at the
point at which you rewinded too? I want
recording to start from within a
timeshift buffer.

I have very specific uses that I want to
use PVR software for. All I want to do
is run a composite cable from a DVD
player to the capture card and then I
want to timeshift back about 10 seconds
while able to record what is in the
buffer or the video 10 seconds behind
the DVD player.

I have a Pinnacle 800e and I can get video and sound displayed but I have not been able to capture during the time shift. I am wondering if it is possible and I am doing something wrong.

Thanks, JOe K.

This feature is not available yet, but it will be added in future versions of ChrisTV. The recorded file will be in DVR-MS format.

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

This is probably a stupid question as "things will be done when they are done."

Do you have any idea about when this feature will be implemented? It will give me a better idea of when I will purchase the program.

As far as I can tell no other software PVR does the record while viewing buffer feature. I used MyTheater a bit, and thats supposed to do it but I had to hard of time setting it up plus I didn't like the GUI.

Thanks again,
JOe K.

You will be my hero!

In your opinion what capture card (NTSC) should I get that will have to most seamless remote control compatibility with your software?

Thanks a million,

You could try Hauppauge cards their remote control application can be easily configured to be used with any third party application.
