SBS OnDemand Fails

Chris is now reporting an error when attempting to download a MOVIE from SBS OnDemand.

They seem to have changed their link format, this is what its like now

Chris produces an error "This is not a valid SBS video link......"

FYI I am using Chris V12.20.20

Link finder also fails - but with an SBS error saying I am using an add blocker

Any suggestions?

You can use Link Finder, make sure you uncheck in Settings->Block the Ads while Browsing.

We'll check the copy/paste mode for this videos.

Turning of Block Adds has resolved the problem in the Link Finder mode.

Seems SBS is making more changes. It is no longer possible to download with add blocking switched on in Chris - It is also not possible to even brows the SBS site with an add blocker in your browser.

Conventional Chris Copy/Paste no longer works with SBS but there are TWO work arounds.

1. You can use link finder

2. or you can use a 'modified' Copy /Paste: You need to click on the show you want to download and ONLY once it starts to play then copy and paste from your browser address bar.
Make sure the link has the following form:

Code: Select all

https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/watch/....

Annoying but there you go.

What a shame we are now stuck with the adds.
