Error: "This is not a valid Youtube video link" - FIXED!

Running latest release 12.17.19 and having the same problem.

For example here is a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8S5Kn5yfG0

Checked comms links and also pinged Youtube.com all good.

Turned off VPN as well as Pi-Hole to make sure they weren't interfering - same error

Just an update:
If I use Link Finder to go to the YouTube video it finds it and will play it within Link Finder. However, the only useable links it will produce is the WebM links not the MP4 links

I agree. Even with the latest update of VideoTube Downloader Pro, it seems that I can't get the video to appear as downloadable both in .18 and .19. The link below is the worst offender of all. It will constantly fail.

Have a try. If you can somehow fix this type of video, then I'm sure many more videos can be downloaded from then on.

could be... ive tried an alternative program and the same thing happens... maybe you tube are making it difficult

I had to download it from the mirror (regular download failed), but I found your announcement only minutes after you posted it, so maybe the copy on your own server hadn't finished uploading yet.

It works great. It is fast and speedy to load upon copying a link again. Thanks for the very fast response to this issue.

It looks like the issue may be back. Even updating to the latest 12.18.11 doesn't help.
The issue now is when you copy a link, it will try to load the information. But then, it will disappear completely along with a message on Windows that reads 'This is not a valid YouTube video link or Internet connection is blocked.'

It was ok around 8 hours ago. But now, it has started again. No YouTube videos have managed to be loaded on YTD.

Yep, same here! I'm glad to hear it's not just me. Let's hope that Chris can fix it once more.
