Problem updating software when using Microsoft Edge (A Fix)

Here is a FIX if you are experiencing issues when attempting to update the program software when using The Microsoft Edge Browser.

I started to use Microsoft Edge a number of months ago, and was able to access all Chris PC Sites/Forums/Software Updates etc.

A couple of days ago, after being notified of a Software update, both the Forum site and Download site were being blocked by Microsoft Edge. I thought it was my Anti Virus (Norton 360) that was blocking it, but after investigation, found it to be the 'Edge' browser.

Despite adding all the necessary sites to be excluded, it had no affect.

So I used "CHROME" to download and install the update. Once installed and opened, all of the settings in Microsoft Edge had been updated and I no longer see any errors/block messages when using Microsoft Edge.

It's a weird one, so hope this FIX works for you if you encounter the same issue.

Thanks for your report hans302.

We've just checked on a clean Windows 11 with latest EDGE 101.0.1210.39 (Official build) (64-bit) and latest Microsoft Defender update 1.363.1825.0 from 5/11/2022.
And all websites load without any issues:

https://www.videoyoutubedownloader.com/

It might be that something in your Cache files were blocking the sites from loading?
What message would EDGE display?

I have tried to replicate it but since the successful update using Chrome I cannot do so - Tried to replicate it on my Laptop as well but no luck as settings had been updated on my Edge account - Shame I did not generate
screen shots - If I get it again - I’ll send you the details
