Possible to show over 7.9 on the WEI in Windows 7

Post by enigma »

Hi Chris

I looked in the FAQ and some other places but didn't see my question. Apologies if I've overlooked it.
I've a reasonably good system with a couple of 7.9 results. I'm curious to know whether there is any way to have the WEI show any results higher than 7.9 in Win7. If possible, please tell me how to go about it.

Thanks in advance.

That's the highest value for Windows Vista and 7 - 7.9, starting with Windows 8, Microsoft changed ratings for highest value to 9.9

Yes. I was hoping there was something that I could do to change the upper limit viewable to that of later Windows versions as Microsoft have done, perhaps I could modify some registry values but I wouldn't know where to look.
