Screen Recorder Pro crashes

Running win 10 pro V 21H1, OS build 19043.1288 and Screen Recorder Pro V2.50

When I click 'record' the countdown timer starts and when it gets to zero then the record button is active again - no recording is made. If I click on record again, the same thing happens.

I went into setting and restored defaults, but that made no difference.

I am attempting to record in full screen mode, I also tried selected area mode but same problem in both

Can you help?

I discovered why.

Under win10 settings Windows Security I had just turned on Ransomware Protection and this was causing the crash.

The FIX is to go into the ransomware protection settings and allow the required APP to have folder access. That app is ffmpeg.exe

In my PC its located at C:\Program Files (x86)\MPlayer Addon

Well I hope thats it!

Well that was NOT IT. Bugger.

so I turned OFF the ransomware filter in windows.

However..

When I attempt to record anything from NETFLIX it all works well, even as I move through the netflix selection screens but as soon as any movie commences there is no video recorded, only the sound track. How can I fix this?

April 19, 2025: Still not able to record netfix video with screen recorder despite a valid netfix account. Is there an update to the settings recomendation??

April 20 2025: IMPORTANT UPDATE:: I have discovered that if I go into my browser (BRAVE) settings and select SYSTEM then and DISABLE "use graphic accelaration when available" then it all works OK, eliminating the "black" screen when recording.

So for now the issue is resolved. May be a good update to the FAQ ??
