HI. I installed ChrisTV 5.65 in Windows 8 Pro (Dual booting with Win7) and receiving error.
"The video capture source could not be connected. Try to disable in Program Settings->Video Rendering->"Use overlay mixer" checkbox & restart Chris TV.

It works fine in Win 7.

I've attached log.

Wondering if you plan or need an update?

Thank you,
Frank.

Run ChrisTV Wizard and select correctly your TV card model.

I have selected Sapphire Theatrix 550 & tried ATI Theater 550 pro. Neither want to respond.
I did install Windows Media Center also but not sure if that would interfere.(I do get a signal in WMC)

Thanks for your quick response.

Try to install the ATI MPEG 2 Video and Audio decoders or this one:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gplmpgd ... t/download

Run ChrisTV Wizard again and choose other MPEG 2 Decoders than the Microsoft ones.

Downloading the MPEG 2 Decoders helped getting me video. I just have to tweak the settings for optimum video.
Thanks again,
Frank.
