Hello,

I would suggest the following improvements for the scheduler:

1. Make the prog remember the recording mode setting! It now defaults to AVI every time instead of remembering that I want MPEG... Alternatively, allow editing of the displayed (past) recordings. Just pop up a box asking whether the user wants to change the displayed recording, or create a new one based on the existing one. The new recording schedule to be created upon pressing Save.

2. When programming a recording, I have to scroll through 200+ unused channels to find the channel I want. Please remove all empty slots and just display the favourites, like when you right click in fullscreen mode...

3. My old Panasonic had a real handy feature: 2 button recording. You pressed the first button to set the starting time, and the second to set the end time. If you just pressed the second button, the VCR started recording immediately, and you could set the end time at your leisure, the device patiently waiting for you to dig out your TV guide if necessary.

This was SO handy! If you were watching something that you liked, you
just pressed the end time button and it started recording immediately (like
pressing the record button) and still allowed you to set an end time (UNlike when you press the record button).

Translating this to ChrisTV would be great.
Now if you want to record something on the fly you must either press record
(but then you cannot set an end time), or you can start up the scheduler
(but then you have to do all kinds of fiddling with file names, mode [see above],
channel [see above] and can only set a start time which is 2 minutes minimum
later than the present time). Two buttons on the context popup menu (and
remembering the mode setting...) would make things so much more comfortable.
Isn't that what computers (and ChrisTV in particular) are all about?

1,2. In next release we'll add an option to duplicate an existing task and
only favorites channels will be available in scheduler task channel name.

3. Something similar is allready in our TODO list.

Thanks for your feedback.
