As you can read on http://www.chris-tv.com/faq.html :
ChrisTV is a shareware software with 30 days trial period (with some limitations in recording module during trial)
This includes some video/audio codecs to be not available while in trial mode (like DivX and MP3 codecs)
But you can use XVid and PCM :
