Automatic Aspect Ratio Detectionn And Scaling?

Is there a way to make ChrisTV detect what aspect ratio an image is and change the scaling accordingly? As it is now, when I feed the video from my sat receiver to my tv card and they change format, I have to change format in ChrisTV in order for it to look right. Changing between stretched and letterbox.
