Hi!

I've the Hauppauge WinTV PCI card with the BT881 chipset.
(Hauppauge cards are shipped with that since 2002)

I've just installed your software, and when I run it, it crashes.
"Access violation at address 00545F6E in module 'ChrisTV.exe'. Read of address 00000057". Do you want to continue? [Yes,No]"

If I press "yes" the program freezes at the welcome screen, and nothing happens.

My question: Is the BT881 chip supported?

And when not, will it be supported in the future?
It would be very useful, since all of the new Hauppauge cards are shipped with that chipset.

I've just noticed, that I should have sent this message to the "error reports" and not to the "feature reíuests".
Sorry!

Hi again!

First of all, thank's for your fast reply!

Nopik: I can start Windows Movie Maker, but if I press Record, then the application freezes (no error message, but nothing happens for a long time).

Chris:
I've tried the followings:
1. Reinstalling the TV Card WDM driver. - Result: same error
2. Reinstalling ChrisTV - Result: same error
3. Installing older ver. of ChrisTV (3.20) - no error message, but it freezes

Any idea?

I have a BT881 chip on my tuner card, and the BT8x8 Driver Grappler installed. Could this be the problem?

Best Regards!

BT8x8 Driver Grappler for MSP (Micronas Sound Processor Chip) support
Works only with this TV Cards : Pinnacle PCTV PRO, STB TV PCI, Hauppauge WinTV/MSP or ATI TV Wonder !

You don't have that model of Haupage - this is only for BT 8x8 chipsets.
Your tv card has Conexant 881 Chipset.

Disable MSP in ChrisTV and uninstall the driver grappler.

Hi!

I did the following:
1. uninstall of the driver grappler
2. reinstall ChrisTV

Result: Same error message. :(

Chris:"Disable MSP in ChrisTV"
Unfortunately I can't do that, because the program freezes at the startup, so I can't even get to the options.

Tomorrow, I will try to setup ChrisTV on an other computer, with the same Hauppauge card.
