SBS OnDemand Fails

Hi,

SBS updated their web site 2 days ago. Since then VideoTube Downloader Pro wont play the program in the window. Hence I cant Click "download all".

I am running on the latest version of the software.

Is there a fix/work around for this?

Download using copy/paste mode works for SBS.

Please make sure that the link you paste for episodes has this form:
www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/1693928515579/episode-1

You can copy the episode link by right clicking on episode thumbnail.

Hello Again,

I pasted the link as per your suggestion. However, when I enable "Block the Ads while browsing" in Settings I receive the following message;

"Video Playback Error
Sorry, we’ve encountered an error playing this video. If you have an ad blocker turned on, try turning it off or whitelisting our website before trying again. This may prevent you from loading videos".

This didn't appear in the past.

When I disable "Block the Ads while browsing" the video will play. However, the downloaded video contains the ads & worse, it 'breaks' at the ads. I have to restart playback & Click just beyond the last ad of each segment to continue watching.

I have tried the Internet Explorer browser option & get the same result.

Any suggestions to avoid this?

I have just noticed that in the SBS OnDemand web site, no matter what you select in the web site, including viewing a show, that the URL does NOT change .

This is the displayed URL https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/

I have tried the following browsers all with the same result.

Brave, Firefox, Chrome and Edge

Any suggestions as to how to download shows?

You need to use copy/paste mode, not Link Finder engine.

Please make sure that the link you paste for episodes has this form:

Not using the Link Finder but rather copy/pasting the link into the main engine worked well.

Very strange - cut/paste has it working again. I wonder if there was a glitch at the SBS end?
