Ok, lite version not supported. I do not think it is a problem with your software, but with ATI's drivers.

Just answer this please. What drivers were you using on the post where you said you had gotten rid of the sync issues? 102 or 117? Is there a newer version that we do not have yet?

Thanks

The sync issues are fixed in driver version 110 and 117 - both beta driver releases.

I have a problem and it seems to be an evident problem with the Theater 550pro. Its not actually my card, im borrowing it from a buddy. he gave gave the drivers disc but no software. so ive tryied a few different prgms to capture. i had success with one but it too had a 21 day preview and i didnt think id use it past 21 days.

Iam using the cable input to record a VHS tape to dvd with some editing through my PC. i was able to get some good time but the tape quality was bad, but cable recorded fine. I switched off the other prgm to Nerovision 4 was good for .5 sec then scramble. Same with Christ TV pro, but with ChrisTV it last 3 sec scrambled then fine and back again. i did all the settings recomended for the ati theater 550. I even tried runnin a DVD through the composite w/ AV cables same prob.

i have updated the ATi drivers

Hi,

I recently bought the full version of Chris TV Pro 4.8, I have an ATI TV Wonder Elite.

I am trying to backup all my VHS tapes to DVD and I'm using Chris TV to do so. In order to get a smaller sized mpeg file, I changed the settings for the MPEG recording to 352x480.

But when I check for the newly created mpeg file, it is still in 720x480. Apparently the MPEG encoder in the TV card does not take into account the changes in Chris TV.

Is this functionality correct? The main reason I purchased Chris TV was that it supposedly give me the capabilities to do exactly that.

Please check this post :

We are working on fixing this in next release.

P.S. : The frame size does not have a big effect on file size.
The video bitrate has the major effect on file size.

I have this latest driver running on Windows X64, Sapphire Theatrix 550 using Chris TV Pro 4.8, but experience the same problem as some other people above, i.e. a +/- 1 second audio delay in preview mode.

It would be nice if this can somehow be fixed. Any idea how?

Try to disable LIVE Preview mode :
1. Go to Program Settings->MPEG HW Encoding
2. Disable "Use live preview mode..." and "Force audio output..."
3. Restart ChrisTV.

I have two problems in testing the ATI 550 card I have.

1) even with using all the settings, the sound gets choppy after a few seconds
2) De-interlacer only works in VR9 mode, and causes substantial slow down.
3) The FFDShow settings make no difference to the image no matter what I do.
